New Concept in Beauty, Painting Hands to Represent Wild Life: Work of Guido Daniel

Throught the history of beauty and its adjuncts, the stress for a woman has always been the face. Thus lips, eyes and eyebrows have taken prominence. The hands were comparatively a neglected field. Things have changed and an Italian artist Guido Daniel has revolutionised a new concept. He has painted the hands in way that you cannot reognize they are hands. Guido started off by painting the hands to represnt wildlife

Man throughout his history has looked for greater challanges and innovations in all fields. Art is no exception and artists have formulated new designs and painting modes to enthrall mankind. One of the lates modes to captivate an audience is hand painting. This is a bizzarre concept and consists in painting the hand  to represent a fower or a wild exotic animal like a snake, a reptle or one of the large cats like a couger..

Generally throught the history of beauty and its adjuncts, the stress for a woman has always been the face. Thus lips, eyes and eyebrows have taken prominence. The hands were comparatively a neglected field. Things have changed and an Italian artist Guido Daniel has revolutionised  a new concept. He has painted the hands in way that you cannot reognize they are hands. Guido started off by painting the hands to represnt wildlife. This is itself an avant garde step as nobody earlier in the history of art has painted the hands to represent wild life.

Guido is an artist and handles paints and brushes with ease.  For his paintings on the hands he has used Kryolan Aquacolors and newton brushes. So superb is the work of Guido that there is no animal or creature that he cannot  replicate. To the viewer it is a thrilling sight to be able to see a hand painted as a snake. it pleases and shocks some that art can go to susch extremes of  representations.

Guido'd art is to real to represent  in a written exercise. The beauty is to see the painted hand physically to realize the enormous talend that Guido has, not forgetting his fertile mind and imagination. Body art has been in vogue for centuries. The Egyptians and the ancient Indian painted the bodies. In India the nanga ( naked) Sadhus painted their bodies to highlight their spiritual powers. Even in modern times many painters have painted the entire human body.  However painting hands only as an adjunct to body art was never done. At least the the paintings showcased by Guido  do not form part of body art down the ages.

Why did Guido chose hands as a subject? He feels hands are the most important part of a human beings body as they have the capacity to build as well as destroy. In any case the idea of painting hands to represent wild life is something that will not die away. The  paintings of Guido  which he refers to as 'Handimals' are something wwonderful to behold and one can't help feeling that the man who painted them must be a genius
